Jumping right into it. Yes I know it was stupid for me to believe this, I only did cus I actually made a friend in a very similar.
So I’m on discord just browsing thru channels chatting with people when I get added by someone. I don’t get added a lot but when I do I accept and chat, sometimes I make a friend out of it and we play games together it’s all good.
He tells me about his boyfriend as he’s gay and we end up just chatting about each others partners our cats etc. he begins to tell me about his life after I talk about my job and mentions he’s made a bunch of money through professional poker. I say wow that’s really cool! He says for the nice convo do you want nitro or like an Amazon gift card and I go oh I don’t use nitro a gift card would be really nice.
We continue chatting and he keeps trying to up how much he’ll give me and I go ok sure cus I don’t know what else to say to someone trying to give me money. But here’s the part where it gets stupid and I mean I get stupid and should’ve called the red flags earlier. Mind you at this point I’ve just been making a friend I assume is gay?

We continue the conversation he says my boyfriend’s lucky and I’m super hot and I’m like thanks!! This is gonna sound really stupid but the entire time he’s saying this it hasn’t really gotten sexually it’s more like when you have a friend and ur like “oh girl you look super hot in that photo” but then like the conversation shifts and we keep sharing photos back and forth of our cats our partners he sends another one where his ass looks good but this time he’s wearing less clothes and I’m like hyping him up ur boyfriend lucky you look great slay blah blah blah. And then we continue talking before he’s like oh what’s ur nicest photo and I’m like I don’t really have one but he won’t drop it and pressure and pressures and I stupidly crack and I’m like oh ok I have this one photo I took for my boyfriend in the lingerie he brought me and I send that. I felt mildly bad but also I thought he’s gay and I’ve sent this photo to some of my girl friends before because we’ll share photos back and forth in a girly omg should I send this to him way. And I thought that was what was happening here just he was gay instead of one of the girls?
Anyway we continue chatting we’re on a video call now showing each other the cats. He’s like oh give us a look at the outfits and I do a few little poses and he’s like slayyyy get into it and I’m like haha but also sort of getting uncomfortable at this point.
But then it shifts AGAIN and he says oh I’ll give you more money to do this? And I’m like no? I’m not comfortable doing that at all? And he pushes and pushes and I continue saying no I’m not comfortable cus it is mildly sexual stuff he’s asking and also I’m taken even if this is just you having a laugh it’s weird and I thought you were gay anyway?
Eventually he turns around and is like ok but if you don’t do it i saved that lingerie photo and also screen recorded you where you where showing off ur outfit (mine you I’m in a VERY UNSEXY pyjama top and shorts that react my damn knees cus they’re so large.) and I’m like??? Then it gets weird and he bursts out laughing saying it was a prank and I was like ok? Still weary and he goes on this rant explaining how it was all a prank and a test and he was proud I didn’t fall for it and I kinda chuckle like ok that was weird I’m anxious now. He apologises says he’s sending proof now he doesn’t actually have videos or screenshots of anything of me and I’m like ok thanks. I hang up cus I’m like I’m gonna sleep now and I check back later, no proof and I’ve been blocked so I’m even more confused.
First off was I even blackmailed? Why would they do something like this? Were they pretending to be gay that entire time and I stupidly fell for it? I’m so confused on what I should do as well cus the whole situation has put me on edge. What do you guys make on it.
