It’s kind of hilarious how people love to say “looks don’t matter” one moment, and then turn around and complain about “beauty standards” the next. Like, if looks really don’t matter, why are you so upset about how society views them? On one hand, we’re told that physical appearance shouldn’t define us, but on the other, people still judge, discriminate, and place expectations on us based on how we look.
