Many celebrities literally made a fortune thanks to essentially their look. Being an actor is an art, but no matter how good an actor you are, you likely make much more money if you also happen to be good looking.

I personally believe that technology is about to change that. Have you ever visited the website this person does not exist ? It shows that AI is now capable of generating photorealistic images of human faces, some of which are actually quite good looking :



I think we are only a few years away from Hollywood using this technology systematically. Actors will do basically what Andy Serkis is famous for.

Granted, it won't change anything for us, but for some reason I will still see it as progress.
