This is something which I'm dumbfounded that people are oblivious to and it always amazes me that people say that I should try to "look more confident".
I mean think about it, when someone "looks confident" that is because that is how their physical traits and features make them look. It is the same as when you say someone looks strong i.e. it's likely that they are quite tall, have a large frame and a decent size. You are not going to say a weak little anorexic kid looks strong like you would a bodybuilder.
So why is it any different with looking confident? How do people think you can magically look confident?
For example Henry Cavill looks confident to me but that's because he has features which make him look that way whereas Steve Buscemi doesn't look confident because he doesn't have those features.
So it is literally like saying to someone "just look better looking". Become more outgoing is slightly better advice because that is actually something tangible at least but "look more confident" is the worst advice you can give.
