But, unfortunately, I am not Rambo.
I am not some super soldier.
I am just a dried leaf….about to crumble at any time.
Always just one step ahead of death.
No reinforcements are coming.
I am forced to be a lone wolf.
Not by choice, but by the choices of others.
I called the crisis hotline and told them I’d been poisoned by a coffee shop.
The guy didn’t even try to listen.
He just said that the coffee probably just upset my stomach.
No, buttface, I spit out part of the pill the barista bitch put in my coffee.
Another time, I told someone that my roommate was poisoning me.
Again, they didn’t listen.
Didn’t even take the time to listen to why I think he was poisoning me.
They just dismissed me without a second thought.
There have been many events such as these throughout my life.
Going all the way back to when I was 4 years old.
No one ever listens.
And then they ask me why I didn’t talk to them about it.
I’m like, shit, I tried talking to you about it and you dismissed me.
I’ve tried talking about it a hundred times.
No one ever listens.
