Tbh, I think this is done by the devs themselves.
They want you to spend money on old garbage and then still force you to quit them this way so your only option is to either play the newest garbage or to leave for good.
Their newest garbage probably is not doing too well, so they want to force you to migrate there instead to bump the player numbers.
