Yeah basically. My understanding is that many blacks think that if they had just been left alone for a bit longer as opposed to being colonised or taken as slaves and whatever, that Wakanda would have been the result.

The main problems with that are:

a) why were there no signs of Wakanda or anything similar developing

b) war and colonisation were common back then. The idea is to succeed DESPITE these challenges.
