Living in New York City is impossible

I live in New York State, I used to live in nyc when I was a small kid but moved, my grandparents and a lot of family lived in nyc, and plus since my parents worked in the city, I would often spend weekends over there at my grandparents. But it’s just impossible to live there idk how people do it.

Now that I’ve gotten a car and can drive I wish I could avoid NYC as much as possible but I can’t. NYC has so much damn traffic, and good luck finding parking.

Not to mention the Bronx and parts of Manhattan literally smell like burning trash. Ontop of that, you have to look down every few seconds to make sure you don’t step in dog shit.

Also rent is insanely expensive for a small space, everyone is overly confrontational or pretentious as fuck, crazy crackheads around every corner, guns are banned so good luck defending urself against that crazy crackhead perverts with a knife or some 15 year old gang member with a glock, and the cops are straight out of a 1984 dystopia. Don’t even get me started on the train stations, or the BUSES which are worse. And now illegal immigrants can vote as long as they’ve been a resident for 30 days.

Yeah man I try to avoid cities at all costs. No matter where you go it’s going to be like that. The homeless issue is too large to ignore yet every city does and they act like there aren’t floods of people living in the n the sidewalks. Instead of helping out the people living in their shitholes, they instead just put up barricades and obstacles so the homeless have a harder time sleeping because you know fuck the people who need help.
Every city needs to be firebombed until the ground is nothing but a layer of glass. The governments of those cities held responsible for the way they run their shit.

Case in point. I saw in one town I used to live in a shop that used to have homeless people sleep under their awning like a cvs or whatever, they put like spikes that come up from the ground I shit you not like the VC.
people that live in cities need to rethink how they do shit. In terms of building, housing, sanitation, crime, basically everything that can be seen as a plus in a city has tons of negatives. I don’t see why anyone would willingly put themselves there , but they do.
