In the Middle Ages (5th – 14th century), Persia/the Middle East was actually much ahead in technology and medicine compared to Europe. But would you chose to live in the high ("middle") Middle Ages in Europe or 22,000 years ago in Australia?

You'd be a god amongst inferior creatures. The abbos nowadays are not known for their intellectual faculties but back then.... During first contact they hadn't connected semen to pregnancy so literally any modern man could have ruled these folks.
