I think so too, but it would probably take a toll on your mental health, but so does wageslaving. You could still kinda relax more if you picked the crying baby.

I don't think it would be more mentally damaging than if you spent 8 hours on a construction site, even if we only take the noise into consideration.
Keep in mind that you still have 16 hours a day without the baby with no commute
