I used to listen to that shit when I was a kid. Eventually I moved on coz I was tired of nu metal. However I recently decided to come back to it and now I really see it in a different light.

You can call it edgy, emo or whatever but in my current state, the songs literally speak to my mind. The critics hated it back then but when all those boomers die off, history will vindicate Linkin Park. It's no longer kids stuff since most it's fans are in late 20s to early 30s now. Yet the problems are still there jfl. Guess you can't just grow out of your problems huh?

Also I never knew Mike shinoda was a amwf hapa. He really lucked out and got all the good features. That why he played 1/2 of the entire band while the other 1/2 was Chester (RIP)

Now here's some good old classics from the day.

RIP Chester. Only now do I really get you. You were too good for this world.

Mainstream mid 2000s rock/pop music? No thank you...

Have you looked into his death? Eddie Bravo pointed out ties to him and Chris Cornell's 'suicide' being fishy as they had knowledge about Pizzagate....look into it :feelshehe:

Reminder: the band leader is a ricecel.

I used to think the same after I ditched them for a long period.

But I think the anger and whatever in their early stuff (I never bothered with their albums after 2007 when they ditched what made them iconic in the first place) , there was some truth in it. Especially when the lead singer actually roped, you could tell those things he wrote weren't just there to get viewers.

Chester is Podesta the molesta's rape baby and was offed cause of haiti/pizzagate shit. Same with chris cornell.

The band got me through most of elementary and a bit of highschool. I'll never forget those times.

Okay and?

Only listen to one direction

I always thought Linkin Park was well received. Anyways, I liked their style which really melded hip hop and metal. Numb and Numb/Encore are really great. I’ll also always remember Linkin Park as the soundtrack to old school AVIs. Anyone remember watching AVIs on Google Videos, Dailymotion, Veoh, and early YouTube? Those were the days

the pain translated beautifully into the songs, the passion makes them so good. It is a shame that people will only like the music because "it sounds nice" or "nostalgia"

Well I'm a millennial so I can definitely appreciate the nostalgic value of it but that's about it. And RIP to our boy, whatever his name was.

I liked Linkin Park until Minutes to Midnight. Hated that album and the ones afterward.

That album was mixed for me. The main hits were nice but the rest of that album was meh.

Hybrid theory and meteora were where the real passion lies.

Just coz you're a fan doesn't mean you have to like every single piece of work from the artist

I like the music ngl

I like the end of papercut.

That's the general consensus, they dropped the ball hard, possibly an added reason why Chester roped, his band became irrelevant after early success. Success, is more than simply record sales, it's respect from other artists and true metal/rock fans not normie children.

RIP chester I used to listen to them when I was younger good band.

I still listen to them occasionally.

Why does every band start out making good music then "evolve" into a style that no one wanted or ask for or likes?

Ran out of ideas and got writer's block.

Also rock/hip hop tends to be a young persons game. Most artists best album is always within the first 3 of them
Only listen to one direction
Listening to one direction is considered Chad worship (since two of them have been proven to scientifically have them best faces in the world) and should be considered a bannable offense.

I rmb when my brother bought Meteora :feelsautistic:

Aside from the ones u mentioned, Leave Out All The Rest(listening to this as i type) & Waiting for The End are my favorites too:feelsautistic::feelsmusic:

The songs do feel heavier after his passing:feelsbadman:

When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some reasons to be missed
And don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory

He used the early albums to vent and express all his feeling about his emotional struggles in life. You would think being in a very successful band would help him get over it but it didn't which lead to him roping. (Agepill def didn't help) The issues were very deep which some stupid shit like just get drunk or see a therapist can't resolve.

So if someone like that couldn't handle it, what the hell does that make us? We have just as much anger and frustrations in our memories just like him. But we don't have any successful band to be part of!

His wife was already dating a new guy less than a year after his suicide and got engaged less than 2 years after.

:feelsUnreal:

Jewish music producers in their infinite wisdom want them to adapt to the oversaturated "in" genre of the moment not understanding that by doing so the charm that made them distinct has gone away or they were never suited to that kind of music effectively putting your goalkeeper in the scorers position. Drop 'em like it's hot after being responsible for fucking them up in the first place by meddling but who cares, you made your coin from them & will sign the next sensation cheap & repeat the mistake.

Like a pro wrestler, the best ones are those that are free to play to their strengths & are not stifled & shoe horned into what the boss & creative decide you should magically be able to make work.

Roman Reigns might be shoved down everyone's throat but other than brain-dead "entertain me" casual fans, children imagining a real life superhero & muscle fetish foids who the fuck actually thinks this guy is a good character.

Meanwhile someone that actually has something good built up from nothing is soon turned into who the fuck cares fodder & quietly vanishes (Broken Matt Hardy), take away the promos, weird wrestling locations & side characters & instead have regular matches & just keep repeating delete! With no context & the magic is lost, don't matter though right as you've killed off any other companies potential of having someone that gets views & he's not your guy. You decide who the fans will like, not them.

This happens to a lot of people, it happened to me too.
I now like mostly the Hunting party and some songs on One more light. And a few of the old songs.
I really like this one

I like In The End

It summarizes the lives of all of the "just self improve" theorists.

Their very best album in my opinion is Reanimation. I can't ever get tired of Reanimation.

I think the problem is they try following "the crowd" and not realizing they're fucking themselves over.
Especially after 21st century came around.

This one I'm not surprised with. While I like Chester, he was dumb enough to marry a pornstar.
What did you expect to happen?

I prefer disturbed

There are a few songs I like from Disturbed, but I personally don't really like the band.
Before I saw who the vocalist was, I thought he was some angry old man that was on the mic.

i prefer Marilyn Manson.

I hate everything about him, unfortunately.

The early 2000s were glorious years for losers and outcasts.

They were meh

idk why incel music/lyrics are popular with normies.

Good group listened to it some years ago

Eminem- Kim for cels is a great song regardless

It was a great band

I think Linkin Park is too cringy to listen to. I don't know how but their music is a bit too soft and remind me of wining? I prefer to listen to system of a down tbh. The predicted the industrial globohomo machine of today.

Some of their songs were actually pretty dark, musically and lyrically.

It's actually surprising that something so angsty could have been mainstream back then.
