This reminds me of that one simpsons episode where a character named "Frank grimes" was introduced to the story.
Whilst he had underwent such extreme hardships, to even work at the nuclear powerplant was a trial and error process that took him pratically his entire life to work to achieve.

Meanwhile homer had simply happened to be at the opening so he didn't even have to work or do anything in order to achieve such a position.
He constantly makes mistakes whilst he's rewarded, has a loving wife, children and a nice house whilst frank grimes is constantly reprimanded.

In a way this episode is just the representation of real life, a display of the cruelty and unfairness of it.

Yeah personally I'd rather have a low pay but low cortisol job over a high pay but high cortisol job. Of course I get the worst of both worlds as my job is both extremely low pay and high cortisol (fast food).

Anyhow this reminds me of a thread I was going to make but never got around to. Basically people are generally hypervigilant as an adaptation to hardships. I'm hypervigilant because I absolutely have to be. I've lived in poor, high crime areas my whole life, and I've worked stressful low skill jobs where I'm easily replaceable (and constantly reminded of this). I'm also low IQ, which makes everything more difficult. If I weren't hypervigilant I would be dead or homeless.

And on the other extreme, when someone has a carefree, lackadaisical, nonchalant attitude in life, it's because they've had a good life due to inherent advantages.

Of course you have some exceptionally stupid people who don't understand the cause and effect here and think "successful people are successful because they don't give a fuck" and will tell a hypervigilant person "your life is bad because you care too much, you gotta chill, outcome independence bro".

I don't understand posts like this. To eventually live on autopilot, you still have to work and care about things enough to obtain the amount of wealth necessary. The only case where this would apply is if you won the lottery or were born into insane wealth, but I assume no one on this forum fits into those two categories.

Also, the people you extol (like Asmongold) are not disliked because people are jealous of the fact that they have more money or live life on "autopilot" mode.

I think efficiency is cool. I also just think people do things because they either find them purposeful or stimulating. There's also a good amount of evidence to show that living this "autopilot" life you talk about contributes to more negative mental well-being than anything positive.

As far as going on autopilot is concerned, I'd tend to agree. There is great peace in it and perhaps the closest to normalcy an incel could hope to achieve. Going to work every day without thinking much is a good way to spend the time, and depending on the level of autism, offers some social interaction as well. In my case it is also the source of great pain though, as it gives me the opportunity to witness girls that would never ever date me, and when people there show public affection it is like a dagger through the heart.
