my point isn’t that it doesn’t last, i mentioned that relationships during teenage hood last for a very short time because it’s not real love. Most teenagers don’t fall in love, they get into relationships just because they find each other attractive and break up shortly after. Or they get into relationships because they don’t want to feel like they’re missing out. Whatever the reason, it’s not love.

This cut to my core, and yeah, it's the same for me. I didn't understand how teen love just happened to everyone else, even the dorky short kids had dorky short foids, albeit boring and plain looking. I've missed out on it too and there is something about how final and hopeless that feels because you can't go back in time.
