Any bad thing can happen with you any moment in the future. You could become paralyzed/go in coma. May be someone capture you and torture you for extended period of time. Basically your life can become hell any moment in future.

Death looks peaceful but I am too scared to commit suicide as it will mean non-existence for eternity.

You don't experience non-existence. It's not like you're out there thinking "boy, not existing sure is boring". The hard part about death is dying, once you're dead it's peachy.
