My save file is glitched to shit and I can't make any progress.
My random starting character traits gave me a really severe psychological handicap which effectively locks me out of a lot of NPC interactions, particularly "romance" options and I cannot reroll my starting traits until I finish the game.

No it's the opposite of a video game. Atleast in most games there is somewhat of a fairness in them and you can actual win if you are skilled enough. Life is the opposite for people like us, it's dealt us the worst cards ever and no matter how good we become at things we will never win. That's also the reason why games are awesome but rl is garbage.

Games let you choose your starting stats or they let you keep rolling the dice until you get something you like. I never got to choose my stats and my appearance.
