Every time I see videos like this, I get really, really depressed.
Last year, I binge watched a shit ton of random people's old high school graduation videos from the late 80s-mid 90s (this video, despite not being a graduation video, was one of them). From what I have seen around me since I was born, no one is as socially connected as how it was portrayed here. Throughout my entire life, everyone was always socially distant and it was very hard to make friends at all when I became ugly. The only people who I ever saw had a successful social and romantic life were the Chadlites and Chads. Not to mention the dating game then was nowhere near as bad as it is today.
It made me depressed and all I wanted to do was just sit in my room and do nothing for the next week. I still long to live in a time period like this where there was more freedom and everything was just better overall for everyone (too much shit to list, I borninthewronggenerationmaxxed on multiple other threads about this, though), not just for us.
Humanity seemed so innocent pre-9/11. Now it's like everything is ready to collapse. Teenagers and economically stable people who were able to live the time of their lives in those times were lucky as hell.
