That was such a dumb nerf. I can understand dropping aegislashes base stats, but why hit gengar? He doesnt even have a mega anymore so no shadow tag either

He was Uber in gen 6 if i recall correctly, he was OP and overshadowed many ghost types who were actually good.
Basically having gengar would have given you some great coverage to stalls and sweepers.
They didn't want that in gen 7 because they tought, it would be undermining pokemon choices.

But yeah, blame the cucks of Smogon who want to classify everything, eventually their whinings go to Gf.
