a supposedly extinct fish have been recently discovered

In the same area?

nope, deep ocean

Well, new species are discovered often. This doesn't prove the loch ness monster's existence since the fossil and the supposed "monster" were in completely different areas. It isn't proof of anything existing in loch ness.

sure seemed like it. But I guess there could be a rational explanation for those things too.

but you witnessed some things?

yeah, all the stuff I mentioned except for my cousin going crazy. I heard about that from her siblings.
The fireplace one was the most disturbing. It traumatized me as a kid, but everyone thought I just imagined it. I was very afraid to stay home alone after that

any investigation followed the incident?
also, did someone take you seriously?

they had someone inspect the fireplace (as well as the alarm systems, which they changed several times). No problems were found.
My cousins believed me because they were used to seeing similar things. Their parents were scared too - they were just coping with denial.

interesting anecdote: my aunt was apparently involved with some cult in South America

na its most bullshit, except for alien life which is plausible.

Scientists have a nasty habit of being part of a material system. Our observations are only as good as the observable will allow. As a concept, human beings are unable to be appreciated by ants, yet we can make large changes in their environment. I would never paint us as so necessary to the idea of the physical universe that we are unable to make the same mistake ants do. Something very natural, very real could exist alongside us without us ever knowing because it's that much superior to us. It need not be otherworldly or magical.
Possibly.

And furthermore, I posit that such a thing would be really badass

Michigan, where I'm from, has a real bad problem with UFO's and old native shit like skinwalkers. People don't really go on about spirits, but we've all seen about a billion UFO's. Never seen a skinwalker or weird beast, but I know people up north that swear they exist.
for real, what's up with Michigan and Arizona? They've got some crazy UFO sightings.

Dunno man, if anybody wants to see some wacky shit in the sky, go to northern Michigan and lay on a picnic table at night. By midnight you'll see shit pulling 90 degree angles at 600 mph.

Yeah, crazy lights. It's hard to miss with the lack of artificial light.

"Washtenaw County deputies B. Bushroe and J. Foster formally stated: "This is the strangest thing that [we] have ever witnessed. We would have not believed this story if we hadn't seen it with our own eyes. These objects could move at fantastic speeds, and make very sharp turns, dive and climb, and hover with great maneuverability."

It's just one of thousands. Most reported by cops or military. If we have vehicles that seemingly do mach 6 and take sharp turns without turning the pilot(s) into dogfood, and have had them for decades, then we're big assholes for ever sending infantry to die in a foreign country. Also, what nuclear missile threat would there be if we had such capabilities? We could blast rockets out of the sky before they crossed the arctic.

again, I'm not saying it's aliens, but something in the sky is defying the rules we know aircraft to follow

could be mass hysteria for all I know

what about the battle of los angeles?

from what i know yes. a jinn could be like something you did wrong somewhere and the jinn comes and inconveniences you.

or it blesses you. i am not an imam but inshAllah there are khutbas that explain it very well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9i7lnC-DCk this one is very good

they are invisible to us.

there are Angels, there is Man, there is Jinn. Angels from light, Man from clay/water, and Jinn from fire.
