if so why do therapists suggest for us to make friends by meeting a bunch of random boomers? How does a 25 year old out of uni relate to a married 50 year old with 2 cars/house/wife/kids/white picket fence etc. Its like a middle schooler trying to relate to someone my age (24)

NT Boomers don't even do these any random person from online can join "social groups". It's boomers that make others feel uncomfortable because something is wrong with them, and they want friends. If there are any female boomers, they will of course be married or dating because women can always date or marry whenever they want.

Young women don't go because they don't need that, they have curated social groups full of the people they most like and infinite chads. Young men don't go because they are still trying to get a girlfriend and they know that going to a meet up group isn't going to help them with that.

Well I never actually did one. I did a toast masters group a long time ago and it was filled with weirdos, so I figure it's the same. When I look at the pictures of meetup groups they look a bit weird and old, but sadly there are no meetups in my area.
