I've been nearsighted since being about 12-14 years old and autistic since before birth.

I don't even wear eye-glasses, because they cost too much and are bothersome, but I really struggle when I have to watch more than 1,5 metres away. I can't even properly play console games, because I can't read the small text on the screen while sitting on the (edge!) sofa.

+ of course I have one of the most horrific skin conditions here and I am about 170 cm in length.

I am nearsighted too. I don't even know if I want to fix it or wear contact lenses. I seriously think I look even more ugly without glasses. But maybe it's just because I am used to glasses.

I'm nearsighted and it sucks.
And for some fucking reason it keeps getting worse. The doctor said it should stop at early 20s. I'm 30 now and it's still steadily getting worse. Other than the expense of buying a new fucking glass every few years I'm worried that if it keeps going on I'm gonna have to wear one of those big ass glasses with huge lenses in a few years.

Having nothing better to do than watch TV or gaming hasn't helped I'm sure.

I'm - 3 in both eyes and wear cheap contacts when outside. I did see about laser eye surgery, but they quoted me £4'000 with no guarantee it would work. Plus it would be a 80 mile round trip for the surgery, I'd have to get a taxi.
