1. The existing divinity is a demiurge that benefits from the pain inflicted on us. What about Chads and Stacies? They exist only to remind us that our lives are brutal.
2. Reptilians or some other form of life control the planet and nourish themselves from the negative energies liberated through human agony, tragedy, and misery. Again, Chads and Stacies are the exceptions because these beings gain even more by making us suffer in the face of people having everything.
3. Buddhists are right about the cycle of reincarnation. The wheel of samsara, as they call it. We got to reach spiritual climax, also known as Nirvana, to escape from this hellish existence.
These are the possibilities I see.
