I find the idea that every single ailment can be blamed on a so-called 'patriarchy' absurd, because if a theory explains everything, it explains nothing. Also, Imagine twisting a man's last desperate act into a lecture on how he’s still the bad guy.

The study that concludes this was based on a faulty interpretation of suicide attempts which included behaviors such as cutting and eating disorders. It's similar to how foids will point out that women are more depressed on average because they are prescribed meds more often

It's not rage-bait. It's what they genuinely believe. "Men kill themselves more because they're more violent" is a pretty mainstream talking point (which is why it got upvoted so much) I've heard it plenty of times not just online but in real life as well.
You have to understand how these people think. In their eyes, men are the oppressor class and women are the oppressed class. Anything the oppressor class does is evil, and anything the oppressed class does is either justified or if it's something completely unjustifiable, it's the result of manipulation from the oppressor class (ie patriarchy). Any harm you cause to the oppressor class is justified because it's "punching up". The majority of people under 40 have been indoctrinated into this ideology. Though the only remotely mainstream alternative (tradcons/redpill) is no better since they also believe it's men's duty to fight and die for women, and to protect and provide for them at all costs. Ultimately they're just feminists with a pseudo-masculine facade.
But back to the point, it's just par for the course. Male life has always been disposable, go look up titanic survival rates by gender.
From a naturalistic pov a mans' life isn't as valuable as s womans' life because of the abundance of sperm and the scarcity of eggs, fertile women and their ability to only get pregnant once a month, tops.
But nowadays the quality of foids has been reduced so much so that imo they are no more valuable than men.
Suicide as a topic really needs to always include the fact that 1/3 suicides for both men and women involve alcohol use. If you ask why a person committed suicide just answer with, "alcoholism" and you'd be accurate 30% of the time.

Yeah I've mentioned this before. Most of the female-male discourse traces back to this fact. Humans are naturally misandrist as we're hardwired to value women and see men as disposable for exactly the reason you stated. Societies have simply expressed this in different ways. Under so-called "patriarchy" there were "women and children first" policies and men were punished for crimes their wives committed and held accountable for their wives debts. These days it's expressed through 4th wave tik tok feminism.
Except that TODAY women squander away their health, most fertile years just to "settle down" one day, at 35 or 40.
They have no value on their own.
