The Lamborghini Jalpa is an Italian car produced from 1981 until 1988, known for its distinctive wedge shape and targa top. It was designed as a more practical and affordable alternative to the flagship Countach, making it a popular choice for enthusiasts seeking a performance-oriented vehicle for daily driving. The Jalpa was the last Lamborghini model to use a V8 engine until the Urus SUV in 2018.

All supercars are useless and suck

the old v8 lambos were weird as hell

not very fast by today's standards, but cool just for their strangeness

Also, looks like Misato's car from Evangelion (tho that was a Renault)

Interesting.

But it looks cool — I like stuff that looks out of the ordinary

i wonder if that was a flat plane crank or a cross plane crank v8
Unlike flat-plane V8s from rival Ferrari, a Lamborghini Jalpa’s aluminum alloy motor uses a conventional 90-degree cross-plane crankshaft. That’s why it retains that signature rumble loved by fans of American muscle cars. However, it was also fairly small at 3.5-liters of displacement. For that reason, it has a more upbeat tempo and rev-happy nature, combined with the classic V8 soundtrack.

Interesting

Yeah I noticed the sound was kinda in between. Cross plane but small
