Lady Preacher Goes On A Rant Against the ‘Poverty Penis’ at Women’s Conference

Latasha Brown is a therapist and senior pastor of Abundant Blessings Church in Chicago, IL, serving alongside her husband, Bishop C.E. Brown III.
A mainstay on the conference circuit for teaching women’s empowerment, she recently gave a message at Powerhouse Chicago church’s ‘Girl Get Up’ women’s conference where she raised a few eyebrows.
Speaking during the day 4 session, Brown went on a bit of a tear using some colorful language.
We don’t want God to give us back something. You know what we want? I know it’s some older people- y’all forgive me, my seasoned saints- some of y’all want that poverty penis. You want that poverty penis and that’s how you think you gon’ heal. But sister you aint’ gon’ heal with that.
You think you wanna heal, but it’s poverty. It’s poverty penis! They can’t do nothing for you. It’s gon’ last about seven minutes if he real good, and if he ain’t? It’s about three minutes, and it’s poverty penis! It don’t heal. It don’t heal.
