School just sets you up for failure. The harder you work in school, the better grades you get and the more validation you get. Work life is nothing like school.
Working hard at your job just ends up with you being burned out and your coworkers hating you. You will get passed over for a promotion because your boss wants to promote his family member to the position anyway.
After all that, your annual evaluation score is artificially lowered because they don’t want to give a raise higher than 1.5%. So you worked harder than everyone the whole year for absolutely no reason because everyone gets the same shitty raise.
