If the only purpose is to survive and reproduce, then we're inherently defective in comparison to bacteria, for example. They're billions of times more numerous than us, they cover most of the earth, they exist within us, and have existed before and will exist after us. Simpler life seems to accomplish life's purpose far better than mammals do. I can also denote all the flaws that exist in humans that don't make us optimized. I can't understand how an incel can wholeheartedly support the world that oppresses him. I see all the flaws that make me what I am, that cause me to suffer, and that make me inferior, and yet I can do nothing about it at all. That's an utter failure of nature. If adaptation is the name of the game, then why can't I adapt my form to what's most suitable now that I can list the issues? Subjecting a person to this wholeheartedly fatalistic existence for the sole sake of perpetuation is thoughtless.
