Depresssion is as a result of suppression (suppressing how one is feeling). Not sure whether a chemical imbalance in his brain, abusive upbringing, environment or a lifetme of general self-inflicted emotional constipation.
That said he is/was a horrible, abusive and irredeemable person towards me too, but I rose above it.
I made it my life's mission to be the exact opposite to him and it worked well. True I might not have a wife (I don't love and call a fat pig like he did) nor do I have any incel kids.
But I've never been prescribed meds which I put down to listening to metal music, fapping to anime and/or porn and a previous casual recreational (illegal) drug use.
I do know he took citalopram (Cipramil) at one point.
