The series is a porn illustrator's first attempt at something more serious set in the DnD knock-off gag fantasy world his stories are set in, and yet, the single least relatable element of it to me is the MC being pursued by women and being able to make them cry and make them emotional by unintentionally rejecting them because he's unaware of their feelings, because they wish for his affection and care about what he feels that much.

Exactly. That's the most maddening part of this. I can unironically put myself more in the shoes of astronauts researching the environment near black holes than anything involving romance or being attractive.
