The main Stigma attached with adults sticking with things that they enjoyed as children is that they are unable or unwilling to take part in some fo the pleasures of adult life. Mainly social relationships that involve sex, which takes a substantial amount of time to get and maintain. If you are spending your time fucking aroudn with comic books then chances are you aren't spending time doing the very adult thing that is having sex. Of course Chad can do both, but the average guy must compromise. This compromise leads to the implicit idea that the person is unable to enjoy adult pleasures, therefore they are a loser. Once you understand this, the idea doesn't seem as pathetic. Now, if you are low IQ enough to not even ponder this then you will probably pass it off as being something that only pathetic people do, because you cannot fathom why someone woudl rather spend time fuckign around with comic books and capeshit.
