this has been my experience as well,
I went to a club alone twice last year,

it took a lot of courage to go (I hate those places and get no pleasure whatsoever, I just went to try meet girls)
I tried to be normal, tried to dance and approach my looksmatches...
only to be ignored or rejected a dozen times
