see this is the proper analysis. although that qualitative difference might be somewhat exaggerated. i'd still be unhappy if i rarely got laid. sex is a need like food. not getting it fulfilled frequently will still result in unhappiness

Thats not how it works though. Its not like a 5.9/10 guy looks wise has a horrible life and everything changes when he looksmaxxes to 6/10. There is a gradual improvement until you hit 7/10 after which for every point, there is quite a a lot of improvement in your dating life.
