Imagine telling someone basically their entire childhood and very early teen years (13-14) that they're destined for greatness, and can do anything they want with their lives, only to have reality rear it's horrendously ugly face and cause disillusionment the likes of which that person had never seen before.
I can distinctly remember my mom telling me that when I reached the age to date, females would be all over me, or some variation of that.
That's a lie I'll never forget as long as I live.
