Turkish Decision To Name Park After Chechen Independence Leader Draws Fire And Retaliation Threats From Russia | MEMRI

Don’t tell my mom I’m in Ukraine

Don't tell mum I'm on .IS

I dont really like Russia but I love their music and the melancholy that is present in it, as well as in their literature. Russians have to have a genetic predisposition to depression or something which is why they represent this through art lol. Nice song.

I speak Russian and I understand what he is singing about.
It is indeed a very sad song and while this one is about the Chechen war, it can be applied to any war, really.

Also, check this one out. An infamous radio communication between two soldiers that once fought together and all of a sudden against one another.

Both died in this war. And for what?!

Post soviet depression is real. Russians weren't always like that. Their old folk songs were different.
The nation has suffered a lot, both from outside as from within.

Many Russians still know and remember how the intelligence of the country was systematically slaughtered.
The enemy from within wanted to dumb the nation down and achieved it.
