I made a post a while back about growing up on a poor Indian reservation in Arizona, dealing with child abuse, and how CPS eventually took me away from home. I mentioned how I was bullied by my parents and kids at school for my looks, and somehow, people twisted that into saying I "deserved" the abuse because of my "bad personality."
The bullying wasn’t the only thing I had to face. There were so many things that traumatized me—things I didn’t even get into because they’re too hard to talk about. Living in constant fear, feeling unwanted, and not knowing if I’d ever be safe. It wasn’t just about being teased or insulted; it was about surviving in a situation that no child should ever have to endure.
