No, but it does help during development. Jaw and teeth are actually envoiremental to a somewhat large degree. I am a recessed jawcel now but i had a great jaw as kid. Modern Jaws are getting smaller because of diet and lifestyle, but it's not like you would get a chad jaw either way. After 15 it's probably over

I think chin is almost entirely genetic(and testosterone in the womb)in terms of lenght, forward growth is somewhat envoiremental. I never mouth breathed but didn't chew and i have a good chin and no jaw.
