I remember living in a town of two thousand or less people way back and the local high schoolers who are children of farmers blaring away gangster rap in the pickup trucks probably their same parents bought them, it was a real eye opener considering I moved to the countryside to escape the nightmare of urban metropolitan city centers only to be confronted with the absurdity of all of that. Like I said, there is no escape, sanctuary, or refuge anywhere, social degeneracy is everywhere now. Before moving away from that small town they were building public housing units right square into the town center for people from nearby cities to move into, it was at that point I knew it was all over everywhere.

Working class issues have taken a backseat to identity politics even with the traditional liberal parties that used to be more focused on worker's rights in places like the US, UK and Australia. It only accelerated after the Occupy Wall Street crackdowns and ramping up of culture wars on social media didn't help.
A lot of conservatives will also deliberately try to avoid issues of disappearing fiscal conservatism, increased crony capitalism and so forth by focusing on identity politics issues just like liberals do but just with the opposite sense (ie ads and speeches about how conservatives are the party of hard working men that provide for their wives.) Bluepilled conditioning was at its peak in the 1980s and 1990s with the "End of History", fall of the Berlin Wall and optimism about how free trade agreements would mean a mostly smooth transition to service economies not to mention the belief that advances for women in the social, political, economic and legal sphere would be a social tide that would rise all boats. It never worked out like that and soon as real crises like 9/11 or the Great Recession hit the cracks in the system became apparent.

But imo a slow decline has been present up until now and tbh with exception of fast paced declines with each successive future economic or health crisis don't see how that won't continue to be the case.
