Final Fantasy was always kind of overrated to me when it comes to its gameplay elements and how well it holds up as a JRPG. But I can understand where the nostalgia comes from.

Final Fantasy was always kind of overrated to me when it comes to its gameplay elements and how well it holds up as a JRPG. But I can understand where the nostalgia comes from.

Tbh it's all about the world design, lore, and music. I can hardly remember the plots of most of the SqEnix games I played, but they still resonate with me. As a kid, I'd often fantasize about being transported to these worlds and having abilities. I also liked the Tales games for a similar reason
