The vast majority of people would constantly kill, stomp, eat, and violate each other of it wasn't for the laws and social norms that are put in place by the minority of the "good" people in that society.
And to add, music that has a progressive feel to it, that is to say a slow buildup, is universally unpopular. Music genres with a progressive style to it is described as boring. Because people have to wait for the climax followed by the outro. Classical music, progressive trance, etc... Any instrumental music.
