JF Gariepy has interviewed two porn stars on his livestream. Interestingly these two women seem to be on opposite sides of the porn star spectrum (let's say, the fawn and the shark). Let's compare and contrast the two young women's personality types, backstories and future plans.
The first, Hannah Hays, is the stereotypical porn girl: learning disabled, fatherless, naive/confused teenager who suffers from PTSD. She's 19, almost 20, and has been making porn for close to a year. When you listen to her speak, she sounds mentally challenged. Part of it is her Southern drawl, but she's clearly slow. Despite her learning disability, she says she's highly functional, graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA and graduated colleged (though I'm not sure what kind of college you can graduate from at 19? Community college?). She wants to open an interior design (?) business someday.
She talks a lot about staying positive and avoiding negativity, "otherwise you'll wind up sad and lonely". This really resonated with me, and I think accounts for a lot of her life choices: grew up without a dad, has a stepdad who's in a dysfunctional relationship with her mom, she's clearly terrified of winding up alone and abandoned, or stuck in a bad relationship with a man she can't leave, or stuck with said man's kids. "Staying positive" is a term that bothers me to no end, since it doesn't actually mean anything other than going with the flow/following the crowd; in this case it means keeping her male handlers and fans satisfied without giving any one man complete power over her like through marriage/family.
She says her PTSD is from a car accident (but no brain trauma?) and that she has an emotional support animal, a lizard, that makes her feel better. She says the lizard is trained? I didn't realize they could be trained in that capacity, or any capacity really. The fact that she has imagined an emotional bond with an animal incapable of doing so really says a lot about the world she inhabits.
When JF asks about her father, she breaks down crying. He was only in her life for a couple of years, but she insists her mother did everything for her "young'uns". In her mind, Mom = heroic, self-sacrificing victim, in spite repeatedly making choices to the detriment of her kids. Hannah has grown up unable to ascribe any accountability to women, which of course means that deep down she's not accountable for her own choices.
JF goes pretty easy on her, explaining a lot of viewers are worried about her mental health and fear she might be exploited. She insists she knows what impact this choice will have on her future, but her words sound hollow, like she's been brainwashed. She says she enjoys her job and enjoys the sex.
After their chat JF points out she seems to lack a sense of long term consequences, not just because of her career choice (trauma from abandonment, etc.?). He seems to feel for her, but apparently he has a thing for banging retards, so...
The second woman, Paige Jennings (aka Veronica Vain), is the "smart" porn star, now retired from performing at age 27. Pre-porn she worked at a "top tier investment bank on Wall Street". @ 1:00:00, she says using her brain and building a cool company is "all she ever wanted to do". Her long term plan is to be a venture capitalist and start "world-saving initiatives" involving environmentalism.
She is starting a company she claims will be "the Amazon Prime" of the porn industry, with a la carte offerings that streamline user preferences. @ 36:00 she explains the aim of her company will be to replace the current model of the porn industry, which is based on the constant turning over (and turning out) of fresh 18 year olds, and return the classic porn star (I guess Jenna Jameson, et al) as the foundation of the industry. This is when I realized her idea will definitely fail.
Her business model doesn't seem to be based on an honest appraisal of what the consumer wants, and in fact actively denies current commodity prices (i.e. the plentiful and thus cheap supply of fresh young talent). Rather it is based on her own projection of what the consumer (i.e. men) will want. Umm yeah, who wants to watch a beautiful and confused teenager get fucked when they can watch an "experienced" veteran who needs 18 layers of makeup to hide her wear and tear? Let's hire "superstar" porn performers who want six-figure contracts and invest tons of money in expensive productions, instead of hiring girls off Craigslist for two grand plus airfare. Her idea sounds so much more profitable than the current model
Toward the end of the interview she says she's not a direct competitor to very many porn sites (she insists she's not a competitor for Pornhub), but it's not clear what she means by this. So basically, she's trying to create a niche there is no evidence there is any room for. But she thinks she knows business because some idiot investors pooled $200K for her idea, and because of her investment banking background (I'm guessing someone hired her at 22 and paid her $70K a year to fetch coffees and suck dick).
She has a kind of smug, "I know the layers of the game" vibe to her (someone in the stream pointed it out), I'm guessing because no one has ever told her when she's being stupid or her ideas are unfeasible. Case in point: she's now engaged to a guy she's known for 11 years, a "conservative Christian from Texas", meaning since she was 16 and I'm sure smoking hot. So this beta orbiter stood on the sidelines while she was getting fucked in college, then investment banking, then porn, and now he finally gets to wife her up. But she swears he's not a cuck.
She has the world at her feet and doesn't realize that all of her life momentum is thanks to her attractiveness/sexuality. And of course she will never learn this. When her stupid business idea fizzles out her cuck husband will pick up the pieces, and if she decides to divorce him, she will still be taken care of.
Closing thoughts:
I'm not sure if JF chose these two in order to contrast them, but holy hell do they represent two opposite ends of the spectrum of stereotypical, damaged women. I think the key to preventing future girls from winding up like Hannah is to have intact families for working class whites (easier said than done, but still I think easier than getting upper-middle class white westerners to stay together). Simple girls like her just need a loving, feminine mom and a loving, masculine dad plus a community to belong to. It doesn't take much to keep them from going off the rails.
Women like Paige are a far greater threat to civilization. Pure cultural poison, although she did argue that the minimum age for porn should be raised to 21, so fewer girls will get into it out of sheer immaturity and confusion. Still, in the grand scheme of things, what does it matter if a girl ruins her life at 21 as opposed to 18.
It's kind of ironic how Paige, by far the more intelligent of the two, seems to have less self-awareness when it comes to understanding why she does what she does ("rah-rah girl power, aww poor weak men can't handle a strong woman, blah blah"). I think that Hannah, despite her naivity, understands on some level what she is, and this creates emotional and psychic pain. Paige has no such feelings. I guess having the better intellect means she can perform more elaborate mental gymnastics to rationalize her decisions.
