But some cases like Epstein... it's next-level out there isn't it really. He lived the high life, but it was also a very immoral life, and then it came to a crashing halt at the end. - he didn't seem to condemn "predators" being killed in jail or have any sympathy for them. I don't think anybody should be killed in jail.

That show is meant to be very cut and dry with no moral ambiguity. Chris hansen is your stereotypical Chad playing the hero who saves children and the predators are all fat ungroomed incels. I think its likely that they just targe the most ugly looking guys possible because that makes for a better narrative and better ratings.

Epstein is a more clean cut looking fellow with lots of social acumen and confidence so it doesn't fit the stereotypical narrative that Chris Hansen sells, and you see the humanity in him as well. Of course people on social media will portray him as an inhuman monster in order to virtue signal, but if you created a honeypot show where the host is a subhuman looking incel with down syndrom and they only honeypot clean cut HTNs I think people would start feeling more sympathy for them. Of course that makes the show not as fun to watch. Its much more uncomfortable to imagine that your friendly neighbor Jeff is a predator than some creepy looking basement dweller.
