An interesting turn of events for sure. We've went quite a long way from a decade ago when all the "old world racism" and non race-based self-identification seemed to be going permanently away globally due to American influence, and it seemed that the entire world will just adopt the US racial divisions as the primary way to identify themselves. Now, quite to the contrary, American politicians are discovering social divisions originating from thousands of miles away.
