My mom was pretty upset, because she had a friend who abused drugs hard & a relative on that side of my family became a junkie & now is a Schizo for life, though my shitty relatives didn't help much to say the least.
My dad smoked when he was my age, he also was more of a drinker than me & I'm pretty sure he's done harder stuff before. He was pretty tolerant compared to my mom.
We kinda had another argument over it this past summer, but we've bounced back- I've just had to get more sneaky over it.

Ah yeah, we get those sometimes: From what I was told by multiple people over the years, they can only legally search stuff that they own(ie; closer, desk drawers, etc) unless they had probable cause(smell of weed for example). So I would have just put it in my suitcase under the bed or something like that.
