Nowadays you can literally work full-time and still be poor, even if you don't spend your money on stupid shit and just buy food and rent and other necessities.

This is so unnatural. ~70% of your time that you are awake is spent slaving away doing monotonous and soul-sucking tasks, and yet you are barely surviving and life isn't improving. This is torture.

Edit: Just remembered that roommates exist. Damn, that's sounds even worse than living with my parents. I lived in a shitty room abroad for 2 years and I had to share the kitchen and bathrooms with people. It was hell, worst period of my life. But the alcohol and then legal weed made it better. Actually that made it great. Best time of my life. Or maybe the worst, idk.

Food + I help with some bills. My official salary is $300 (it sounds low but it's actually pretty damn good in this country). I take home about ~$230. I only eat at home, but still, shopping at the supermarket ain't cheap. I guess I could just eat potatoes and salt, but food is pretty much the only thing that makes my brain feel joy, so I get myself some sweets and stuff and the money just disappears without a trace (although I'm still very frugal. I don't buy a lot of things cause I find them too expensive. I buy the cheapest stuff available usually). I don't pay a lot of the bills, but I do contribute a little. At the end of the month I might have a little left, but it's an insignificant amount.

Back in the day, one income families could thrive. The Jews have forced women into the workplace, which allowed them to drive wages down (or to more appropriately put, not allow the wages to rise in proportion to the cost of living). This was common where I grew up too, had two neighbors who did this. Driving new high end cars (not like meme cars, but like Cadillacs and shit) yet living with their parents. Not sure I understand this. I moved out from my parent's place while I was still rocking an ancient, beaten-in, piece-of-shit Ford Focus. I've had roommates before, and it can definitely be worse than living with your parents. At least you know who your parents are and what their habits are like. Randoms have no investment in you and will have no problem lying to get you evicted (happened to me twice). I still have roommates, but thankfully I have my own bathroom, and put a fridge and microwave in my room. May as well be a studio apartment.
