Sometimes I surprise myself with how readily I can feel good despite some quite considerable challenges and so on in my life.

But... I guess it comes down to:

a) your personality

b) the balance of good and bad in your life.

Things don't have to be perfect for you to feel good ^^

Good for you tbh.

so either my personality sucks or my life isn't good like yours is what you're telling me

lol no. It's not necessarily that someone's personality is bad but... some people I think tend to "see the bright side" of things more. It's a trait I suppose.

Oh I just reread the title. I'm pretty sure I meant it to be "It's STILL possible to feel good...".

Oh well! It is too late to edit it now. oof. XD

I will just concede that I can't appreciate this post due to a lot of things.

I won't insult you or anything.

Aw, hehe

That is sweet! I like some Owl City songs that are Christian.

I sort of consider myself Christian but... I find it hard to commit entirely to it because I don't have any solid evidence for it being true.
I know someone that likes Owl CIty too he he :feelsaww:

The best argument for Christianity is the transcendental argument for the orthodox christian God.
All other arguments have various downsides.
The best presentation of that argument comes from Jay Dyer.

And this video deals with common objections:

He made this discord sever, but has given it to someone else now.
There are many high iq people on there, including priests and others that you can talk to about it.

Theres also the archeology and stuff, but thats not good enough evidence to prove the whole of christianity. I view it as supplementary.

For example this is a good video that goes into how the archeological record lines up very well with the bible.

Now, aside from this, most people are not really convinced by logical argumentation.
When God is reduced to a conclusion at the end of a syllogism, people stop caring.
So here are some other reasons why orthodox christianity is tasty:

- no celibacy for priest (has never been the case in the orthodox church for 2000 years. Only catholics did that)
- no heaven or hell (not a place you go to. Heaven/Hell is the experience of God)
- no judgements in the sense of "god condemns you" -> God is not punitive. God does not punish you, but if you are unprepared the experience of God after death is "hell"

- no legalistic concept of sin. Sins are not like "laws" that you break and then you have to pay reparations. Sin is a disease that we all struggle with, the church is a hospital. Orthodox churches are not gloomy but beautiful because they are meant to heal the soul with beauty.

- unique doctrines like Theosis -> "God became man so that man might become God" (dont tell that to catholics or protestants they will go apeshit)

- no definitive claims on who gets saved or not (God ultimately decides this. The orthodox church makes no claims about peoples salvation)
- babies dont go to hell if not baptised
- baptism is not a free ticket to heaven (many ppl criticize that "how come murderers get to go to heaven")

- original guilt does not exist. Note: Original sin DOES, meaning the entire universe got corrupted in the fall, but people are obviously not guilty of that lmao)

I hope I could make my case here and make the topic a bit more tasty.
