I am leaning on option 3. Much like with incel serial killers, or other incel-related murderers, I can't help but want to know about our saints-- the events of their life, their psychology, what they think, what they read. I want to know everything about them, but unlike them, the only crime he committed was looking and embodying a presence of a person that off-putting.
