I have seen this firsthand, like many of us have. My own mother who is 59 years old, morbidly obese and around a 3/10 on a good day gets average older men approaching her in the gym. She has mild autism and is socially inept. Without any effort on her behalf, these guys make all the effort to start conversations with her. The bar is on the floor for women and they can’t imagine how much harder it is as a man. Even though she clearly has people start conversations with her out of the blue and always found relationships easily, she has the audacity to tell me I just need to put myself out there and to “just be confident”. She cannot and will never understand my problems because of how different our life experiences have been. As an autistic male like me, you are fucked if you aren’t 8/10 or more. I’m probably a 4/10-4.5/10 and I get nothing. I can’t even make friends. If an older unattractive woman can get it that easy, imagine how easy young Stacy has it. That’s true. A prime example of this was my grandfather on my father’s side. He wasn’t that good looking, but still had a decent looking wife and made 10 kids with her.
