It does matter. If you ever want men as a collective to make progress, then that requires us to succeed in the political arena, which will require us to play politics, of which image and PR are a big part.
There is no real benefit we gain by not polishing our image. Having an image as bad as ours is a huge net negative for all men who don't consider the freedom of saying "nigger" 500 times to be the best part their day. The reason no one here cares about our image comes down to a mix of indifference, social pressure, laziness, self-sabotage and straight-up stupidity. Oh and autism. And other mental illnesses.
No one here is even trying to win, unless it's about winning against other low status men in the competition for the title of biggest victim. Then, suddenly, everyone is hyper-ambitious.
Low IQ people can't even see the vision for how things could move from where they are now to a better place for us, so they don't see any reason to invest into our long-term well-being. And it's probably also especially hard for those same people to exercise the required self-control.
Meanwhile, smart people learn the social rules of their society, repeat feminist dogma to their peers and climb the social ladder. If we we're all like that, but without the complete lack of morals, we would have much more social and political capital and we would all be better off for it.
