I think the best thing about raising a kid while being addicted to heroin is how exciting it all must be. Especially for your child to witness you as a heroin addict raise them. Because you are more addicted to drugs than spending time with your kids. Like you have kids but they aren't a big deal, they are an afterthought. You are really just here for the drugs. That's very clear for your kid.
It teaches your kids life lessons naturally, all while you partake in your own pleasure. That you shouldn't trust your parents, or people you know, because they might get high too often, and they lack responsibility.
My parents were not like this at all. They believed not just drug users but also people who smoke cigarettes, that they should be shot or caned. They told me at a very young age, that if they ever caught me with a cigarette they would personally kill me and then I would go to hell with the other smokers.
Because of this I admired people like Joe Jackson. For instance when I watched a Jackson 5 biopic when I was very young, I thought Joe Jackson was cooler than indiana Jones. You see Indiana Jones needed an actual whip to beat people, but Joe Jackson whipped his sons with his own damn belt. He didn't need to pack a fucking whip. When he got heated, he took off is fucking belt and went to town to make the world his, and it was inspiring how his beatings moulded his sons into success.
It's almost like this would have never happened without slavery
