It should be allowed to sleep in a storage unit. If that were allowed, the storage units would generate more profits because more people would want to rent one. This would also obviously help out homeless people since storage units are small and don't cost that much. What percentage of storage units are unoccupied? Of course, there should be a restroom open even at night for those who live in a storage unit. Why isn't this happening already? Is it due to a government law that bans this? Perhaps these laws should be removed. This can be a solution to homelessness.

I have seen videos where people live in them anyway. Especially if they are private owned in low income areas.
