Seems this happens frequently with boomers. I guess its cause
- want to be nice or polite
- miss their youth and so even if youre below average youre still young and have the halo effect
- they genuinely dont see the competition to get a good sense of what is considered attractive (especially in this day and age). They think just because you are atleast ltn in the face and not fat, then youre handsome
